The camp is deliberately traditional: felt gers, wood stoves, a shared dining ger, and horses from the neighbouring families for riding along the river. It is the base for Kharkhorin, Tuvkhun Khiid hermitage, the Orkhon waterfall and, in July and August, polo in the valley.
From USD 500 per ger per night, June to August. Most guests arrive as part of a Rara Avis Travel journey.

The Orkhon Valley in Uvurkhangai, a UNESCO World Heritage cultural landscape. Kharkhorin, the old capital, and Erdene Zuu monastery are a short drive. Tuvkhun Khiid hermitage and the Orkhon waterfall are day trips.
A full day on the road west, mostly paved to Kharkhorin, then valley track. Most guests arrive as part of a Rara Avis Travel journey with their own driver and guide.
June to August only. The camp is taken down for the winter. In July and August there is polo in the valley.
The camp opens June to August. Stays are arranged by request so we can sequence transfers from Ulaanbaatar or Kharkhorin. Send your dates below; we confirm availability and the rate within one working day and hold the rooms while you decide.
